Our pre-school is based at Archbishop Sumner School, a short walk from Kennington Cross. The pre-school is a discrete setting within the school’s campus, managed by The Pelican and open year-round from 8am to 6pm. There are some wonderful benefits to working in partnership with a primary school. These include being part of a wider school environment with excellent outdoor facilities, playground for our own children as well as daily access to a ‘wild’ eco-garden attached to the nursery.

The staff team are employed by the Pelican and led by a Qualified Teacher during the school term times. The curriculum focus is across all areas of the children’s development with a growing focus on literacy, language and numeracy. Joint initiatives with the primary school give great opportunity for activities with older children and help promote school readiness.
